Experiencing trauma, especially when it leads to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can have a lasting impact on a person’s well-being. It affects their ability to function, connect with others and feel safe in the world.
Helping clients to identify trauma and how it is affecting their life is where we start. Many people are fearful and resistant when it comes to dealing with trauma and PTSD for good reason.
As a trained trauma therapist, I am conscious of fear and resistance that is present when trying to heal. It is for that reason that I see my role as a partner with my client to take on the recovery one step at a time. This partnership will result in a path to healing that is unique to you. It is important that you can live your life free of the influence of past trauma and current fear.
